Terms of use

ReqRX™ provides information drawn from public U.S. Food and Drug Administration records. It is for general business information only.

  • ReqRX™ is not a pharmacy. It does not sell, dispense, prescribe or recommend any drug or device.
  • Nothing on ReqRX™ is medical, legal or regulatory advice. Pathway, review-clock and exclusivity results are general orientations. FDA makes the actual determinations, and patents, litigation and forfeiture can change real-world dates.
  • Legal services, when requested, are provided by licensed counsel under a separate written engagement, not by the ReqRX™ software.
  • Information is provided as is, without warranty. Verify anything you rely on against the official FDA source.
  • Do not use ReqRX™ to make decisions about any individual patient's care.

The ReqRX™ 25

Membership in the ReqRX™ 25 is by application, capped at 25 member companies, and open only to businesses acquiring rights or assets directly for their own operations. ReqRX™ or its affiliates may hold rights in opportunities presented to members and act as principal in those transactions. ReqRX™ is not a broker, investment adviser or securities dealer. Nothing presented to members is an offer of securities or an invitation to pool funds. Each transaction is governed by its own written agreement.

We never use an individual customer's searches, watchlists or inquiries to compete with that customer.

Signal subscription

  • Signal costs $199 a month on a 12-month term. By subscribing you agree to 12 monthly payments of $199, charged to your card through Stripe at the start of each month of service.
  • After the first 12 months, Signal continues month to month, and you can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid.
  • Signal includes up to 25 new competition, protection and predicate searches in any 7-day period per account, across all devices. Each search counts for 7 days from when you first ran it, then frees up. Repeating a search inside those 7 days doesn't count again. Signal also includes CSV export. Watchlists, the morning brief and the loss-of-exclusivity calendar are added to Signal at no extra charge as they ship.
  • Your account and access key are for your own organization's internal use. Don't share your key, resell the data, use automated tools to query ReqRX™, or compile lists or databases from ReqRX™ results. Exports are marked with your account reference.
  • We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can replace your access key at any time from your account page.

The free Watch tier includes 3 competition and predicate searches in any 7-day period. Repeating a search inside those 7 days doesn't count again, and the example searches are always open.

Privacy

Most searches in the live console go directly from your browser to the public openFDA API. Competition and protection lookups go through ReqRX™'s server to our copy of the FDA Orange Book. ReqRX™ does not store what you search. To count the free searches, we keep a one-way hash of your network address and of each search term for 7 days; neither can be read back. The pathway navigator and exclusivity clock run entirely in your browser.

If you request founding access, we keep the details you submit (name, work email, company, role and interests) and use them only to contact you about ReqRX™. We do not sell or share them. To have your details removed, reply to any message from us.

If you subscribe to Signal, payment is handled by Stripe; ReqRX™ never sees your card number. We keep your email, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, and your subscription status. Your access key is stored only as a one-way hash. A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in on your device.

ReqRX™ never collects patient information or prescription data.

Data sources

Live data comes from openFDA, a public FDA service: Drugs@FDA, the FDA drug shortage list, drug and device recall reports, 510(k) premarket notifications and device registration and listing. Patent, exclusivity and marketing-status data come from the FDA's Orange Book (Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations) data files, refreshed nightly. Maker counts, recall flags and listing checks are calculated by ReqRX™ from those sources. The FDA states that openFDA data should be treated as unvalidated. Review-clock figures reflect published PDUFA, GDUFA, BsUFA and MDUFA performance goals. Exclusivity periods reflect the statutory terms.

ReqRX™ is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
